Privacy and your data

Protección de datos: data protection. This page tells you what personal data reaches nietoledo.com when you write to us, what we do with it, and what you can ask.

Datos recogidos · The data we receive

Required: your name, and the email address our reply goes to. Optional: a telephone number, the country of your passport, the trámite you have in mind, a message. The server adds three technical details to every form: the time, the IP address and the browser’s identifier. We use them to spot automated spam. An automatic first answer may go to the email address you typed.

Finalidad · What it is for

Replying to you and, if you then ask for help, working on your procedure with you. Base legal, the legal basis: pre-contract measures taken because you asked for them; and our interés legítimo, a legitimate interest, in stopping abuse of the forms. No advertising, and no sale of data.

Destinatarios · Who receives it

A partner firm, but only when your request is for help that this firm provides, and only for that help. The companies behind our web hosting and our email, which handle data as we instruct them, bound by contracts to keep it secure. No public body, unless you ask us to pass something on or a law obliges us.

Conservación · How long it is kept

Messages that lead to nothing are erased once they are of no further use. When we have worked on your file, it stays with us for the legal retention period of this kind of service, then it is erased.

Derechos · Your rights

The GDPR lets you see your data, correct it, delete it, limit its use, object to it, and take it with you in a portable format. Requests go to scriptorium@nietoledo.com, and the answer arrives within the GDPR’s deadline. Spain’s data protection authority, known as the AEPD, also accepts complaints: aepd.es.
